Lunchbox was loved his entire 34 years. He was owned by the same woman from when he was a young colt. His human was in her mid 80s when she was ultimately unable to continue to care for him.  He was relinquished to a local horse rescue in hopes of him finding a home to retire with. He had lost so much weight as he did not have any chewing surface left on his teeth so the hay he’d been fed was not being digested. I brought him to my sanctuary and started him on a pellet hay and grain mash 3 times a day. He has put on excellent weight and is back to running and playing like he is young again.
